From June 7-9th, 2016 over 160 of the finest minds in neighbourhood building from across Canada and the United states gathered in Edmonton, AB to to explore promising approaches and resources that build resilient communties and neighbourhoods that create relationships of care, stong and connected neighbourhoods, Collective Impact, and resilient communities.

With 16 workshops and 4 walk-abouts, these spaces were a time of deep learning, connecting, and sharing.

One of these workshops was Enhancing Neighbourliness and Connections to Build Place-based Community - Abundant Community Edmonton (ACE) with Anne Harvey and Howard Lawrence

Abundant Community Edmonton (ACE) is part of a large movement that is neighborhood focused, citizen-centered and gift-based. In this workshop, participants will hear about how things got started in Edmonton, how a municipality can play an important role in a grassroots and citizen-driven initiative, and most importantly, about the successes, challenges and lessons learned through the stories of the Neighbourhood and Block Connectors!
