Transition KW Tools for Change Movies.

"To save the planet, we do not need miraculous technical breakthroughs, or vast amounts of capital. Essentially, we need a radical change in our thinking and behaviour" - Ted Trainer

TransitionKW is the Transition-Town community for Kitchener-Waterloo. Based on the Transition movement started in the UK, TransitionKW aims to bring together citizens to build resilience and sustainability within our community in the face of the oncoming crises of peak oil and climate change.

It is by working together towards solutions for these problems that we can weather, and even thrive through, the changes and shocks that we face.

Transition KW is presenting a series of thought-provoking movies followed by a short facilitated discussion on the themes presented in each film.

Our first movie, The Power of Community, tells the story of the Cuban people’s hardship, ingenuity and triumph over sudden adversity - through cooperation, conservation and
community.

This film shows on Wednesday, 30 January 2013 • 7:00pm at REEP House For Sustainable Living
20 Mill St. Kitchener. Pre-registration is required at TFCMovieNight.eventbrite.ca

See (and please share) attached flyer for more details and the times of our other movies: Fierce Light and The Economics of Happiness.

Hope to see you there!!
